We ‘re celebrating the World Science Day for Peace and Development today.

On every 10 November the World Science Day for Peace and Development aims to bring science and society closer together by pointing to possible solutions science, technology and innovation can offer for the global challenges that our society faces in this day and age and to encourage the dialogue between the general public and the scientific community.

The theme for this year is “Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development”.

This year’s World Science Day celebration highlights the importance of “Building Climate-Ready Communities”. The objective is to bring science closer to society by highlighting some key scientific aspects and possible solutions provided by science, technology and innovation to some of the major global challenges society is facing today.
