Aluminum Reflex Coating (for Pointprobe®, Arrow™ and Arrow™ UHF AFM Probes)

  • 30 nm thick aluminum reflex coating on the detector side of the cantilever
  • enhances reflectance of the laser beam by a factor of 2.5
  • prevents light from interfering within the cantilever
  • strongly recommended for thin cantilevers if the coating is compatible with the application
  • Hard Magnetic Coating (for Pointprobe® AFM Probes)

  • cobalt alloy coating on the tip side of the cantilever
  • permanent magnetization of the tip
  • tip needs to be magnetized by means of an external strong magnet prior to measurement
  • soft magnetic samples may be influenced by the tip magnetization

  • 25 nm thick platinum iridium5 coating on both sides of the probe
  • tip side coating enhances conductivity and allows electrical measurements

  • 70 nm gold reflex coating on the detector side of the cantilever enhances reflectance of the laser beam
